As a wedding musician I play at all kinds of venues from upmarket hotels to converted barns but every now and then you come across ones that really stand out for some reason. Althorp Coaching House in Northamptonshire flies under the radar a little when it comes to wedding venues. I don't think they push the weddings much and I don't think they have an 'in house' wedding planner or anything like that (I may be wrong though!) It is a great little pub full of original features with a stunning under cover small courtyard with a function room that would be perfect for smaller weddings (40-60 guests maybe).
For this wedding i was booked to provide wedding music throughout the couples entire day from ceremony to close.
I first provided live acoustic music during the ceremony (aisle walk, register signing and exit). Then I played during the couples drinks reception while people enjoyed canapes and drinks. Then later in the evening I was joined by the band to provide live evening music with DJ sets.
